First Day of school!

Today was the first day of school. This morning went very smoothly. We were all prepared the night before, so as soon as Robin got home from work this morning we were off. This is Amberly and Brenton in front of the school this morning. They were really not in the mood for pictures. Brenton wanted to get to class, and I think that Amberly is just tired of getting her picture taken all the time. Here is Brenton and his new teacher Mrs. Bennett.
Amberly is growing up so fast. We found out that she will be rotating between 3 teachers this year. This is her homeroom, science, and writing teacher. His name is Mr. Stowers.
This is going to be a very exciting year, I can't wait to see what all it has in store. Real quick, this evening Brenton says to me " Mama, my stomach hurts, I think that we have to cancel school." Kids make life so much fun. I can't imagine life without them.

Back to school haircuts

Yesterday we took the kids to Snip-its to get their haircut for school. Brenton played a game while he got his hair cut.
Amberly decided that she wanted a big girl hair cut that was shorter in the back than in the front.
Brenton wanted flip up bangs. You can barely see them in this picture.
Amberly's hair turned out really cute. The back is really short and tapered. The front is still long.
We are ready for school!!!

A Sweet Reunion, Sad Goodbye, & Visit to the E.R.

Dad and Susan came for a short visit last weekend, then we all traveled to Mountain Home, Arkansas together. While they were here we went to the Rainforest Cafe, and to IKEA. Dad was trying to teach Brenton to play pool.
Brily decided that she wanted to play also. We left to head to Arkansas, but not before the ritual stop to Cracker Barrel.
A few nights after we were in Arkansas we all gathered to have dinner together at Fred's Fish House.
This was the view from the deck of the restaurant.
My Aunts friends had a dinner for us all at their house on the lake. This is a picture of all of the family.

This was Avery and Brily on the deck behind their house. It was a really pretty view.

Amberly and Brenton got to meet a new cousin. This is Drake.
I thought this was so cute, so I had to take a picture. This is my Aunts post office.
Now for the sweet and sad. I got to see Nannie again , and I'm pretty sure that she knew who I was. She smiled at me, and she laughed. She lit up when she saw Amberly, Brenton and the girls. But for the sad , this would probably be our last visit. It was very hard for all of us to say goodbye. I love Nannie very much.

We had to head back home, and on the way we made a few stops. This was a dam outside of Eureka Springs.

This was a huge walking stick next to Robin's foot.
Here is a view from a lookout.
This is for Dad. We came across this monster moth at a rest stop. It was about 1/2 a foot wide.
One last stop on the way home. Avery had been getting a little sick, so we called her doctor to explain what was going on, and they told us to take her to get checked out. We took her to a local E.R., and she had to get an i.v.. They had to wrap her in a sheet to get the i.v. in. It was so sad and emotional. She is doing ok now, we are just monitoring her till Monday, if she isn't better, or if she isn't taking fluids we have to take her in to her doctor.
We had a wonderful time. A happy reunion, a sad goodbye, and a trip to the emergency room. Very eventful, a trip we will never forget.

Gross but Funny

Ok so we were all watching "Nim's Island" tonight. Robin is laying in the floor with the girls. They only have diapers on because they had just eaten. Avery then crawls over Robin, and he notices that she doesn't have on a diaper on, and that something is all over her hands. He sits up and that when we saw it. She took off her diaper and pooped in the floor. He started screaming "I got the poo on me", and rushed her off to the shower. A ll I could do was laugh. Needless to say she got all cleaned up, and so did the floor. So what we learned is onesie or shorts need to go back on immediately after she eats. What a funny and gross night we have had.

My little girl is 10!!!!

Yesterday was Amberly's Birthday. We started out the big day this morning with Mickey Mouse pancakes and bacon. I t was yummy. Then we decided to have a few presents.
That afternoon we went to Gattitown. It was a lot of fun. Of course being the great blogger that I am, I forgot my camera so I had to use my camera phone. So I apologize for any of the pictures being fuzzy.

Amberly and Brenton played air hockey. The final score was 7/2.
Amberly and Robin did this horse racing game, and it was hilarious. Robin was wore out when it was over.
Amberly and Robin got their groove on. Brenton was doing it, but he got bored fast, so Robin had to take over.
Amberly and Robin played this game with the funny helmet. It was really funny to watch them play. In the helmet you have to do a 360 to see everything.
Robin, Amberly, and Brenton played a trucker game. We determined that Brenton isn't a very good driver.
Amberly and Brenton took turns bowling.
After we left Gattitown we headed over to Justice so Amberly could spend her gift card from Daddypa and Grandmommy.
When we got home Amberly made a wish, blew out her candle, and we had cupcakes.

We all had a wonderful day. Happy Birthday baby girl, I can't believe that your growing up so fast. Your in the big league now, the DOUBLE DIGITS!!!!!! Happy 10th Birthday, We Love You!!!
